The 11th Annual Turkish Festival

Turkish Heritage is happening this month in Washington DC


The American Turkish Association of Washington DC (ATA-DC) is proud to hold the second annual Turkish Cultural Heritage Month this September in Washington DC in partnership with the Meridian International Center, the Goethe Institut and Cultural Tourism DC. The month-long celebration will highlight the rich Turkish culture, arts, world-famous cuisine and the shared history with the American people.







The Turkish Heritage Month has been also officially recognized by Mayor Vincent Gray and Maryland Governor Martin O'Malley.


The Turkish Heritage Month will culminate in the eleventh annual Turkish Festival which will bring together more than 100 artists and 20,000 visitors to create new friendships and explore the wonders of Turkey in Washington DC The Turkish Festival has become a staple of Washington’s fall calendar. In 2012, readers of the Washington City Paper named the Turkish Festival “Best Cultural Festival” in Washington DC. TURKISH FESTIVAL
The 11th Annual Turkish Festival scheduled for Sunday, September 29, 2013. The event will take place from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm on Pennsylvania Avenue, NW, between 12th and 14th Streets, only two blocks away from the White House in the heart of Washington DC.
