Ephesus, the Grand Dame of Ancient Cities and The Amazing Sites Nearby

The lecturer Ms. Engin Kadester will talk about Ephesus, an amazing city of antiquity, its historical significance, and importance in Christianity. She will conduct a virtual walk with you on the marble streets of Ephesus, describing the famous monuments there.

Engin will also say a few words about Izmir (Smyrna), the third largest city of Turkey, and other nearby ancient sites including Pergamum, Priene, Miletos, Didyma, as well as Aphrodisias and Pamukkale. Before closing, Engin will tell us about Gobeklitepe, the most important archaeological discovery of the 21st Century, with its 12,000 year-old temples, to give an idea about its significance.

Lecturer’s Biography: Ms. Engin Kadaster
